New England weather shifts toward cooler temperatures and rain

In East Hardwick and the broader New England region, weather patterns are transitioning from mild conditions to cooler temperatures. Following a period of sunshine and light showers, high pressure from the Great Lakes is expected to bring moderate temperatures with highs in the upper 60s and clearing skies through Thursday.

By late Thursday, a frontal boundary is anticipated to bring increased cloud cover and showers lasting through Friday. A low-pressure system approaching from the southwest on Sunday may strengthen as it reaches the coast. Depending on its interaction with a trough in southern Canada, the region could experience steady rain and cooler temperatures heading into the weekend.
