New Era and Rótulos Bautista launch football-inspired streetwear collection

New Era has launched a new streetwear collaboration with the Oaxacan workshop Rótulos Bautista, led by Giovani Bautista. Presented on September 10, 2026, the collection integrates traditional Mexican hand-painted signage aesthetics—characterized by vibrant colors, shadows, and specific lettering styles—into football-themed urban fashion.

Separately, Pablo Cillo, a philosophy professor at the University of Buenos Aires, has released ‘Filosofía del fútbol’. The work explores the sport through various lenses, including its tactical dimensions, its role as a social escape for the middle class, and its connection to human evolutionary traits such as movement sensitivity and aesthetic appreciation.
