New gaming updates for Delve Survivors and Project Zomboid
The indie studio iDiOSLAB has released an expanded demo for Delve Survivors as part of the Steam Next Fest. The title distinguishes itself from the survival genre by utilizing turn-based combat rather than real-time action. Players navigate procedurally generated dungeons where enemies only move when the player does, emphasizing tactical positioning and planning over reflexes. The demo includes four unique dungeons, three playable classes—Warrior, Archer, and Mage—and a progression system involving various equipment and skills.
In other gaming news, a community-created mod titled PZ3D has significantly altered the experience of the zombie survival game Project Zomboid. Developed by modder kolpaque, the mod allows players to experience the game in first-person and third-person perspectives. The latest version, 0.9.0, includes over 6,000 3D models and optimizes loading times. The mod adapts core mechanics such as combat, driving, and building to a three-dimensional view and is currently compatible with multiplayer modes.
