New Gelato Shops Open in Goleta, California and Dundas, Ontario

Sweetaly Gelato is set to open on August 1 in Goleta, California, occupying the former Tondi Gelato space on State Street between De La Guerra and Ortega. The shop is designed for patrons with disabilities, offering features such as braille menus, accessible furniture, and customizable lighting.

La Valle Gelateria, a family‑run Italian gelato shop, will hold a soft opening on August 19‑20 in downtown Dundas, Ontario, at 26 King Street West, the former location of the Cumbrae’s butcher shop. Co‑owner Jennifer Myer says the venue will serve handmade gelato, panini, espresso and pastries, with operating hours from early morning to late evening. The owners trained in Bologna and aim to add a traditional Italian‑style offering to the community.
