New Hampshire Barn Trail highlights state rural heritage
The New Hampshire Barn Trail has been established to showcase the state’s rural heritage by connecting historic, well-preserved, and architecturally significant barns. The trail spans from the White Mountains to the Seacoast region.
Developed through a partnership involving the New Hampshire Farm Museum and the University of New Hampshire, the initiative aims to allow visitors to experience the landscapes and traditions that have shaped rural life in the state. Many locations along the trail feature museums, farm stands, walking paths, and seasonal activities. The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests is also participating in the project.
