New Health Boards Appointed in Baja California and Tumaco
In Tijuana, Baja California, the new governing board of the Association of Recovery Centers of Baja California (ACERBAC) was sworn in for the 2026‑2028 term. Councilwoman Melissa Pacheco Silveyra highlighted the importance of professionalising recovery centres, stating, "The professionalisation of the recovery centres is a fundamental pillar to guarantee quality services and the wellbeing of families in Baja California." The ceremony also recognized the incoming president, Marla Luna, and her committee.
In Tumaco, Colombia, the Hospital San Andrés elected a new Users Association board. President Sucre Romeo Torres pledged to represent patients with "quality and warmth" and emphasized the board’s role in improving transparency, humanisation, and the overall quality of health services. The new directors toured the hospital and were briefed on mechanisms for patient feedback and complaints.
