New historical and cultural publications presented in Mostar and Istria

The Museum of Herzegovina in Mostar hosted a presentation of new works by the Association for Modern History (UMHIS). The featured books include Azra Imamović’s “Nedovršena priča,” which examines the role of monuments in shaping identity and memory in Bosnia and Herzegovina through case studies in Brčko, Banja Luka, Mostar, and Sarajevo. Additionally, Kadrije Hodžić’s “Tuzlanski procesi 70-ih godina XX. stoljeća” explores political processes in Tuzla during the 1970s and the role of political leader Pašaga Mandžić.

In Istria, the Historical and Maritime Museum of Istria released “Musica Affrescata” by Dario Marušić. This publication, part of the international Terra Gothica Incognita project co-funded by the European Union, investigates musical instruments depicted in 14th and 15th-century frescoes across Istria. The work serves as a guide to the musical heritage preserved in regional church wall paintings.
