New historical and investigative books to be presented in Argentina and Uruguay
Two new books are scheduled for presentation in South America. In Pilar, Argentina, provincial senator, journalist, and historian Diego Valenzuela will present ‘Belgrano, el primer liberal. Ideas de libertad antes de la Argentina’ at the Universidad Austral on October 5. The work, which features a prologue by President Javier Milei, examines the economic thought and liberal ideas of Manuel Belgrano.
In Montevideo, Uruguay, author Andrés Alsina will present his investigative work ‘Plata sucia’ at the Montevideo Book Fair on October 9. The book explores the history of money laundering in Uruguay, detailing how illicit funds are integrated into legitimate economic sectors such as real estate, construction, agriculture, and financial circuits through various commercial and corporate mechanisms.
