New Hospital Unit Directors Appointed in Italy: Derna and De Vivo

Riccardo Derna has been appointed director of the Emergency Medicine and Emergency Department at the San Pio Hospital in Benevento. The five‑year contract, renewable and preceded by a six‑month probation period, follows a competitive selection process that began in December 2025.

Rocco De Vivo has been confirmed as director of the Oncology Unit at the San Bortolo Hospital in Vicenza. With more than 25 years of experience at ULSS 8 Berica, he succeeds his interim role after a career that includes clinical work, research publications in leading journals and contributions to national oncology guidelines.
