New indoor padel tennis facilities open in Salzburg and Trier

New indoor padel tennis facilities are opening in Salzburg, Austria, and Trier, Germany, reflecting the rapid growth of the racket sport in Europe.

In Salzburg, the Padelbase CUPRA Arena has officially opened at Wasserfeldstraße 19. As the city’s first indoor padel hall, the facility features three courts designed for year-round training, matches, and tournaments. The opening ceremony included local political figures and sports officials, and the venue is partnered with CUPRA.

In Trier, the company padelsmart is preparing to open a large-scale facility near Schloss Monaise in October 2026. The project is planned to start with six courts, eventually expanding to twelve. The facility aims to be a highly modern venue, offering 24/7 access and utilizing AI-integrated cameras to analyze player performance and facilitate social media sharing.
