New investment funds launched in India for neurotechnology and impact startups

Two new investment funds have been launched in India targeting different sectors of the startup ecosystem. ADI Neuroscience has announced a $1 billion fund dedicated to the neurotechnology sector over the next five years. The fund aims to establish India as a hub for neurotechnology R&D and product development, specifically focusing on brain-computer interface (BCI) technologies. Backers include SPEC Finance India and Aleksandr Panov, with scientific advisory support from Russian technology experts.

Separately, TILT, the impact investment platform of The/Nudge Foundation, has launched a ₹250 crore (approximately $26 million) venture fund. This fund is designed to provide patient capital to seed and Series A startups serving India’s ‘Next Billion’ population. TILT will invest between ₹2 crore and ₹16 crore into companies addressing agriculture, climate resilience, financial inclusion, and MSME productivity. The fund is supported by several high-profile investors, including Flipkart cofounder Binny Bansal and MakeMyTrip founder Deep Kalra.
