New IP blocking modules released for October CMS and Laravel Nova

New security modules have been released to provide IP blocking capabilities for specific web development ecosystems.

The Fortify IP Blocker is a module designed for October CMS. It allows administrators to manually block specific IP addresses and subnets through an admin panel to protect against malicious users. It integrates with the Fortify security suite and includes a dashboard widget for monitoring system security status and vulnerabilities.

For the Laravel Nova ecosystem, the Aegis IP Blocker module has been introduced as part of the Aegis security suite. This module can block both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and subnets using CIDR notation. It functions by returning a 403 error page for blocked requests and is designed to run efficiently before sessions start to minimize performance impact. It also includes lockout protection for administrators.
