New Japan Pro-Wrestling adds Castagnoli vs. Takagi to Kobe event

New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) has expanded the match card for the Destruction in Kobe event, scheduled for September 27 at the Kobe World Memorial Hall. The addition features a singles match between Claudio Castagnoli and Shingo Takagi.

This marks Castagnoli’s first appearance in Japan since January 2025 and his first singles encounter against Takagi. The matchup follows a recent rivalry where Takagi attributed his G1 Climax performance to a tag team loss against Castagnoli and PAC in July.

Other confirmed matches for the event include a main event where Tsuji defends against Hirooki Goto. Additionally, for the King of Pro Wrestling event on October 12 in Tokyo, Aaron Wolf is set to defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Kosei Fujita.
