Ryohei Oiwa and Yuya Uemura set to face off in G1 Climax 36 final

New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) has reached the final stages of its G1 Climax 36 tournament. Ryohei Oiwa and Yuya Uemura have advanced to the tournament final after winning their respective semifinal matches. Oiwa defeated Callum Newman, while Uemura secured a victory over the IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Yota Tsuji.

The tournament event at the Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan also featured the retirement match of wrestling legend Hiroyoshi Tenzan. Tenzan competed in a five-minute exhibition against his longtime partner Satoshi Kojima, marking the end of a 35-year career.

The upcoming G1 Climax 36 final is scheduled to feature Oiwa versus Uemura. The winner of the tournament will earn a significant opportunity regarding the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
