At the G1 Climax 36 tournament, Konosuke Takeshita kept his first‑place position in the A Block after defeating Great‑O‑Khan, overcoming a backstage attack and multiple interference before securing the win with a Raging Fire. Yota Tsuji also triumphed, beating Yuto‑Ice with his Fireblaster move, and remains tied for second with six points. Shingo Takagi earned his second victory, moving his block standing upward, while Ryohei Oiwa submitted SANADA to claim his third win.

In the B Block on day seven, HENARE, Drilla Moloney and Gabe Kidd each reached eight points, joining the block leaders alongside each other. HENARE defeated Ren Narita, Moloney knocked out Callum Newman with his signature Drilla Killa, and Kidd beat Zack Sabre Jr., putting those three wrestlers at the top of the B Block standings.
