New Jersey 24-hour diner availability declines significantly

The number of 24-hour diners in New Jersey has declined significantly. While the state once boasted over 600 diners, the current total is estimated to be over 500, but fewer than 15 of these establishments remain open 24 hours a day.

Currently, there are no 24-hour diners located in Atlantic, Cape May, or Ocean Counties. The shift in availability may be attributed to the rise of 24/7 convenience stores like Wawa, particularly in South Jersey.
