New Jersey Department of Transportation announces road closures

The New Jersey Department of Transportation has scheduled several lane closures for infrastructure projects in Morris and Warren counties.

On Interstate 80 in Mount Arlington, left lane closures in both directions are in effect from Wednesday, November 4, through Monday, November 9. This work is part of a $65.4 million project to replace bridges over Howard Boulevard. The project aims to improve vertical clearance, widen shoulders, and enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety by extending sidewalks to the Mount Arlington Train Station. At least two lanes will remain open in each direction during this period.

Additionally, Route 22 in Lopatcong Township will experience left lane closures in both directions from Monday, November 9, through Friday, November 13. These closures are necessary for center median guiderail work as part of a $10 million resurfacing and intersection improvement project. At least one lane will remain open in each direction. Motorists are advised to expect delays.
