New Jersey Devils secure consecutive wins over Ducks and Kings

The New Jersey Devils have extended their winning streak with two significant victories at the Prudential Center. They first defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-1, fueled by first-period goals from Arseny Gritsyuk and Nico Hischier. Hischier recorded his fifth goal of the season, while Gritsyuk continued a strong offensive run.

Following that performance, the Devils defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-1. Despite Scott Laughton scoring for the Kings in the second period to provide a 1-0 lead, New Jersey responded with goals from Anthony Mantha and Brett Pesce. Arseny Gritsyuk sealed the victory with an empty-net goal. The win marks the Devils' third consecutive victory and fifth win in their last six games.

In related roster news, the Devils recently acquired star goaltender Connor Hellebuyck from the Winnipeg Jets in a major trade involving Dawson Mercer, Nick Bjugstad, Nico Daws, and Alexander Command, along with draft picks.
