The New Jersey Devils have signed winger Luke Evangelista to a five-year contract extension worth $36.2 million. The deal carries an average annual value of $7.25 million and will keep the 24-year-old under contract through the conclusion of the 2031-32 season.

Evangelista was acquired by the Devils from the Nashville Predators on September 1 in exchange for a conditional 2028 first-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick. The extension was finalized shortly before a midnight deadline related to the collective bargaining agreement.

During the 2025-26 season, Evangelista recorded 56 points, including 12 goals and a career-high 44 assists. Before joining the NHL, the Toronto native played for the London Knights in the OHL, where he led the league in goals during the 2021-22 season.
