New Jersey driver charged in fatal Pennsylvania motorcycle crash

A New Jersey driver, Bernadette Cobb, was arrested after a crash in Luthersburg, Pennsylvania, killed two motorcyclists. According to police affidavits, Cobb veered into oncoming traffic on August 12 after being startled by an insect flying through her open window. The collision involved a 2013 Harley-Davidson, resulting in the deaths of rider Anthony Sones, 34, and passenger Miranda Wormuth, 30. Cobb faces charges including homicide and involuntary manslaughter and has posted $100,000 bail. Her attorney described the incident as a ‘tragic accident.’

In a separate incident in Delaware, Samuel Larkin, 42, was arrested for vehicular homicide and DUI following a crash on August 15. Police report that Larkin’s Mazda 6 failed to stop at a sign and struck a motorcycle, killing the operator, 54-year-old Sandy Nahory.
