New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill lists Montclair home for $3.49 million

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill has listed her longtime family residence in Montclair for $3.49 million. The move follows her relocation to Drumthwacket, the official governor’s mansion in Princeton, earlier this year.

Sherrill, who took office in January, is the first New Jersey governor in over two decades to reside full-time at the official residence. The last governor to do so was Jim McGreevey, who left office in 2004.

The historic six-bedroom Victorian mansion, built in 1865, sits on approximately 1.1 acres. Sherrill and her husband, First Gentleman Jason Hedberg, purchased the property in 2010 for $1.67 million. The current asking price represents an increase of roughly $1.82 million over their original purchase price.

In a joint statement, the couple expressed affection for Montclair and Essex County, noting it is where they raised their four children, but stated they are excited to embrace Princeton as their new home.
