New Jersey hospitals receive national healthcare recognitions

Atlantic Health hospitals have received multiple national and statewide honors from Healthgrades for patient care performance. Morristown Medical Center was identified as the most recognized hospital in the United States by Healthgrades, earning seven No. 1 rankings in New Jersey and receiving distinctions in cardiology, cardiac surgery, and orthopedic surgery. Overlook Medical Center was ranked as the fifth most recognized hospital in the country, receiving top state rankings in gastrointestinal surgery, neurosciences, and pulmonary care.

Separately, Jersey City Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, has earned its fifth consecutive Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This recognition is awarded to healthcare organizations that meet rigorous standards for nursing excellence. The designation included eight exemplars, such as high BSN rates and reductions in infection rates, placing the facility among the 2% of U.S. hospitals to achieve this level of consecutive recognition.
