New Jersey infrastructure and roadwork projects underway

Various roadway and infrastructure projects are being conducted across parts of New Jersey. In Camden County, several projects are scheduled for the week of October 12 to October 16, 2026. These include lane closures on East Atlantic Avenue in Audubon and South Broadway in Camden, as well as full road closures on Third Avenue in Barrington, East State Street in Camden, and River Avenue. Crews from Audubon, Barrington, Camden New Jersey American Water, and PSE&G are involved in these operations.

In Lakewood Township, a series of infrastructure improvements have recently been completed. These projects, which took place throughout September and early October, included repaving and restriping 2nd Street, Monmouth Avenue, Gudz Road, Claire Drive, and Princewood Avenue. The work followed underground infrastructure improvements by New Jersey American Water and drainage enhancements by the township. Additionally, new traffic safety measures, such as flashing stop signs and new crosswalks, were installed at the intersection of Claire Drive and Princewood Avenue.
