New Jersey ranked among least hard-working U.S. states

A new report comparing various U.S. states has ranked New Jersey among the three least hard-working states in the country, alongside Michigan and Oregon.

The study utilized several metrics to determine these rankings, including average weekly work hours, employment rates, volunteer hours, idle youth hours, and average daily leisure time. While South Dakota, North Dakota, and Alaska were identified as the three hardest-working states, New Jersey's inclusion in the bottom tier was driven in part by its leisure time metrics.
