New Jersey reports 74 Bigfoot sightings across 15 counties

Data from the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization indicates that 74 Bigfoot sightings have been recorded across at least 15 different counties in New Jersey.

Sussex County has the highest frequency of reports with 18 sightings. Burlington County follows with 16 reports, the most recent of which occurred in June 2019. Ocean County has recorded 11 sightings, with the most recent report dated November 2024.

The earliest recorded sighting in the state took place in Mercer County in June 1977. Other counties reporting sightings include Camden, Cape May, Essex, Hunterdon, Monmouth, Morris, Passaic, Salem, Somerset, Warren, and Middlesex.
