Thorsten Schorn to leave WDR after 25 years

Thorsten Schorn is leaving the public broadcaster WDR after 25 years. The 50-year-old moderator, who began his career at 1Live in 2001 and moved to WDR 2 in 2017, will host his final afternoon show on September 4.

Schorn cited a desire to pursue new professional paths. While he is leaving his regular radio slot, he will remain connected to WDR and the ARD network. His upcoming engagements include commenting on the German Radio Awards on September 10 and continuing his role as a commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest.
