New Jersey schools see national rankings and campus expansions
In New Jersey, ten high schools have been named among the top 150 nationally in the US News & World Report annual rankings for the 2026-2027 school year. Additionally, Foundation Academies is set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 23 to celebrate the opening of its new high school campus, which was converted from a former doll factory.
Regarding educational metrics, US students have seen an improvement in PISA test score rankings, largely due to declining performance in other countries. While science and reading scores remain well above average, math scores have reached parity with other developed nations. In New Jersey, the statewide median teacher salary for the 2024-25 school year was reported at $82,780.
