New Jersey Towns Rank Among Top Pet‑Friendly Cities in America

Three New Jersey coastal towns — Cape May, Wildwood and Ocean City — were named among the most pet‑friendly cities in the United States in a new ranking released by Stanton House International. The study, which evaluated pet‑friendly hotels, restaurants and activities, placed New Jersey as the third‑best state for pet owners, noting its high concentration of accommodations that welcome animals. Industry data show pet‑related spending reached a record $150.6 billion in 2024. The report also listed twelve animal species that are illegal to keep as pets in New Jersey.
