New Jersey woman indicted in plot to kill Philadelphia police officer and daughter

Jaclyn Diiorio, a 28-year-old New Jersey hairdresser, has been federally indicted for her alleged role in a murder-for-hire plot targeting her former boyfriend and his teenage daughter.

According to federal prosecutors and the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, Diiorio connected with a confidential informant on Tinder in late March 2025. Authorities allege that during several days of communication, Diiorio expressed a desire to have her ex-boyfriend, a 53-year-old Philadelphia police officer, and his 19-year-old daughter killed.

Investigators state that Diiorio met the informant in person at a Wawa in Runnemede, New Jersey, and later at a Dollar General in Gloucester Township. During the latter meeting, she allegedly provided a $500 cash down payment toward a total agreed-upon sum of approximately $12,000. The informant alerted law enforcement, leading to Diiorio's arrest in April. She faces federal charges for using facilities of interstate commerce in an attempt to commission a murder-for-hire, alongside state-level charges including attempted murder and conspiracy.
