New leadership appointed at National Works Agency and Eswatini Roads Authority

The National Works Agency (NWA) in Jamaica has appointed Stephen Edwards as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective November 2, 2026. Edwards, a civil engineer with experience in construction management and project delivery, previously served as Managing Director of the National Road Operating and Constructing Company Limited. His background includes leadership roles at the Housing Agency of Jamaica and the Tourism Product Development Company Limited.

In Eswatini, the Eswatini Roads Authority (ERA) has appointed Ndabenhle Nxumalo as Chief Executive Officer and Makhosazana Dlamini-Ginindza as Chief Financial Officer. The ERA, established under the Roads Authority Act of 2023, is tasked with managing and developing the nation's road infrastructure. Minister of Public Works and Transport, Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe, stated that these appointments are part of reforms to improve road planning, construction, and maintenance, with an emphasis on transparency, value for money, and climate change resilience.
