New leadership appointed at OICCI and LCCI in Pakistan

New leadership has been established at two major business organizations in Pakistan. Umar Ahsan Khan, CEO and Managing Director of Dawlance, has been elected President of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) for the 2026-28 term. Khan succeeds Yousaf Hussain and intends to focus on evidence-based advocacy and strengthening engagement with regulators and international institutions to improve the business environment.

In Lahore, Ali Hussam Asghar has assumed office as president of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) following a decisive election victory. His leadership marks an end to the 25-year dominance of the PIAF-Mian Nisar Group. Asghar has pledged to support industrial growth, facilitate businesses, and act as a platform for traders and industrialists to address concerns with the government.
