New leadership appointed to Lunel gendarmerie brigade

Captain Christophe Capon has taken command of the Lunel gendarmerie brigade as of August 1. Capon, who previously served in various regions including Val d’Oise, Seine et Marne, Aude, and Guyane, succeeds Vincent Tronchet.

Joining Capon is Lieutenant Samy Saint-Marc Ouadfel, who serves as the deputy commander. Ouadfel brings a background in law and political science, having previously worked in ministerial cabinets for the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior before choosing field operations.

The brigade consists of 61 personnel covering twelve communes. The leadership is focused on maintaining security and cooperation with local municipalities and technical services. Capon noted that significant work has been done to improve the city's reputation following its designation as a 'Quartier de Reconquête Républicaine' in 2019.
