New leadership at Hellenic Basketball Federation sets priorities

Following a restructuring of its Board of Directors and the assumption of the presidency by Angelos Papanikolaou, the Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) has announced six key commitments to ensure institutional stability.

The Board's primary objectives include the uninterrupted continuation of all competitions and providing support to the National Teams during critical qualifying matches for the European and World Championships scheduled for November 2026.

Additionally, the Federation aims to propose necessary changes to refereeing by November 15, 2026, in collaboration with ESAKE, the relevant Ministry, and FIBA. The Board also plans to convene a General Assembly following the completion of the National Teams' competitive obligations to discuss further developments.
