New library facilities opened in Pesnica and Týnec

New library spaces have been inaugurated in Pesnica, Slovenia, and Týnec, Czech Republic, serving as expanded hubs for culture and community engagement.

In Pesnica, the Maribor Library unit has moved into a new 250-square-meter facility. The opening featured a symbolic human chain to transfer books from the old premises to the new location. Officials, including Maribor Library Director Klemen Brvar and Pesnica Mayor Gregor Žmak, noted that the increased space allows for better collection organization and the hosting of diverse community events for all generations.

In Týnec, the municipal library opened its modernized premises within the local Cultural Center following a 17-month reconstruction project. The renovation included extensive construction work, new equipment, and facade repairs. Local leaders, including Mayor Martin Kadrnožka and Deputy Mayor Petr Znamenáček, highlighted that the library is designed to integrate with the center's cultural hall and garden to foster a creative community hub.
