New literary releases feature Colette biography and satirical children's book

New literary works are being highlighted, including the children's album ‘Comment j’ai raté ma vie’ by Bertrand Santini, illustrated by Bertrand Gatignol. Published by Grasset Jeunesse, the book uses irony to explore the disillusionment of adulthood and the definition of success. Through a contrast between short text and black-and-white illustrations, the work suggests that material wealth cannot compensate for the loss of childhood innocence.

Additionally, a new graphic biography titled ‘Discovering Colette’ is set for release by Delcourt/Encrages. Written by Séverine Vidal with illustrations by Kim Consigny, the 240-page work chronicles the life of the iconic French writer, journalist, and actress Colette. The biography follows her journey from her provincial roots to her life in Paris, detailing her efforts to break free from the social constraints of the early 20th century.
