New literary releases focus on family sagas and personal histories

Author Danuta Chlupova has released a new multi-generational family saga titled ‘Ukryte na dnie’ (Hidden at the Bottom), published by Szara Godzina. Set in the multicultural Cieszyn Silesia region, the novel explores themes of memory and loss through the lives of three generations of women. The narrative is inspired by the Cierlicko and Błędowice areas, specifically focusing on the history of the Stonawka dam and the parts of the former villages submerged by the reservoir.

In a separate literary release, Robert Wolański has published ‘Agnieszka Maciąg. Historia pewnej miłości’ (Agnieszka Maciąg: A Story of Love) through Wydawnictwo W. A. B. The book provides a personal account of the late Agnieszka Maciąg, including reflections from her husband on their life together and the challenges she faced regarding motherhood and her professional career.
