New musical releases feature AI vocal recovery and literary tributes

Artist Eylsia has released a new song, ‘We Call It Love Italian’, marking her return to music following severe respiratory complications caused by COVID-19. The illness resulted in permanent damage to her lungs and vocal cords, making it impossible to recover her original vocal tone through traditional medicine. To overcome this, Eylsia utilized artificial intelligence and new patents based on samples of her original voice to reconstruct her vocal characteristics for musical production.

In Chile, singer-songwriter Soledad Guerrero has launched a new project with the Soledad Guerrero Trío titled ‘Cantando a Gabriela Mistral’. The album features eight songs that adapt the poetry of Nobel Prize winner Gabriela Mistral into acoustic arrangements using guitar and violin. The project aims to connect Mistral’s literary legacy with new generations through melodic, accessible compositions.
