New Nigeria Peoples Party denies election coalitions and support for Tinubu

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has issued statements clarifying its political stance and leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In Oyo State, loyalists of the Kwankwasiyya Movement denied reports that they had joined the JDS Movement to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates. The group described the reports as mischievous, stating that the individuals involved acted without party authority and that the movement remains committed to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Separately, NNPP founder Dr. Boniface Aniebonam warned the public against impostors claiming to represent the party. He stated that the authentic NNPP remains an independent national party and has not entered into any coalitions or strategic alliances for the 2027 elections. Aniebonam urged any entities that had dealt with expelled individuals to seek refunds from those impostors.
