New Orleans and Berlin host various food and cultural festivals in October

Various culinary and cultural festivals are scheduled for October in New Orleans and Berlin.

In New Orleans, Oktoberfest returns to Deutsches Haus on Bayou St. John. The event features Bavarian cuisine, oompah music, and a variety of German beers, including seasonal selections and new five-liter mini kegs. The festival takes place over three consecutive weekends in October, with admission set at $10 and free for children aged 12 and younger.

Berlin hosts several food-focused events throughout the month. Berlin Food Week will feature workshops, street food tours, and tasting menus under the theme of “Longevity,” including an “OkSoberfest” focused on non-alcoholic options. Other notable events include the Berlin Ramen Festival at KOMPLEX Berlin and a Samoan comfort food pop-up at Tafa Bakery in the Ikigai Tea Bar.
