New Orleans group plans celebration of life for Dolly Parton

In New Orleans, the Krewe of Dolly is organizing a celebration of life and second-line event to honor the late American icon Dolly Parton. The organization, which grew from a small group of friends in 2020 to over 700 members, plans to hold the event on September 5th.

The Krewe of Dolly also focuses on supporting Parton’s Imagination Library, a foundation that provides books to students. The group raises funds to expand the library’s reach within Louisiana.
