New Orleans Saints RB Travis Etienne Jr. placed on injured reserve
New Orleans Saints running back Travis Etienne Jr. is being placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury, head coach Kellen Moore announced. The injury occurred during the third quarter of the team’s 35-27 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Etienne is expected to miss a minimum of four games. The move impacts the Saints' backfield depth, leaving veteran Alvin Kamara, Kendre Miller, and rookie CJ Donaldson to handle rushing duties. Kamara is expected to see increased involvement, particularly in the passing game, while Miller expressed readiness to take on a central role in the ground game.
Etienne had recorded a season-high 19 carries for 57 yards in the game against the Raiders before sustaining the injury.
