New Orleans to host inaugural Taste of Italy event this October

The inaugural Carla Pesono’s Taste of Italy is scheduled to debut in New Orleans on October 8. Presented by The Italian Barrel, the all-inclusive, 21-and-over event will take place on Fulton Street.

Organized by entrepreneur and former MasterChef contestant Carla Pesono, the celebration aims to highlight authentic Italian and Sicilian cuisine while honoring the Italian heritage of New Orleans. The event will feature various local Italian restaurants, chefs, food vendors, and wine and spirits brands.

Highlights include a 30-foot antipasti board weighing nearly 200 pounds, representing all 20 regions of Italy. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Italian American St. Joseph Society.
