New P-33 and P-35 road signs appear near France-Spain border

New road signs, identified by the codes P-33 and P-35, have been installed along the border regions between France and Spain, specifically in Catalonia. These signs are designed to improve driver awareness and safety regarding specific road hazards.

The P-33 sign features a car partially obscured by horizontal lines. It warns drivers of reduced visibility caused by conditions such as fog, smoke, snow, or heavy rain, advising motorists to reduce speed and increase following distances.

The P-35 sign depicts two cars with intersecting arrows. This sign warns of lane exchange sections where vehicles entering a highway may share the same space as those exiting. This configuration can be dangerous as acceleration and deceleration lanes may overlap, creating intersecting trajectories.
