New parish priests appointed in Petrinja and Karlovac

Several new religious appointments have been formalized within the Croatian Catholic Church. In Petrinja, Bishop Vlado Košić presided over a mass at the Church of St. Lawrence to introduce Filip Šabalja as the new parish priest. During the ceremony, the Bishop expressed gratitude to the outgoing priest, Josip Samaržija, for his 15 years of service, which included navigating the community through difficult periods following earthquakes.

In Karlovac, Mons. Antun Sente, acting on behalf of Archbishop Dražen Kutleša, introduced Danijel Hačko as the new priest for the Parish of St. Francis Xavier in Švarča. The ceremony included the handing over of the keys to the parish church and pastoral center. The event also served as a farewell to the previous priest, Duje Kurtović, and a remembrance of the long-serving late Mons. Ferdinand Vražić.
