New permanent retail stores for Hancolle and Puppet Sunsun to open in Japan

New permanent retail spaces for popular character and stationery brands are opening in Japan.

Hancolle Kichijoji, operated by Juice Co., Ltd., opened in Kichijoji, Tokyo, on August 28, 2026. The store features works from 19 popular stamp designers, offering a variety of items including MDF and maple stamps. The facility includes a community space for enthusiasts to interact and a gallery space intended for future pop-up events and live streams.

Additionally, CHOCOLATE Inc. announced that the first permanent stores for the character Puppet Sunsun, titled ‘PUPPET SUNSUN STORE’, are scheduled to open in November 2026. Locations will include Shibuya Hikarie in Tokyo and LUCUA SOUTH in Osaka. The stores will feature over 100 original items, including plushies, stickers, apparel, and new merchandise designed to reflect the character's fictional world.
