New Police Commissioners assume leadership in Bayelsa and Anambra
New police leadership has been established in two Nigerian states. In Bayelsa, CP Ajao Saka Adewale has assumed duty as the 39th Commissioner of Police, succeeding AIG Iyamah Daniel Edebor, who was elevated to assistant inspector general.
Adewale, who previously served as the Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, is expected to focus on intelligence-led operations and community collaboration to maintain security in the state.
In Anambra State, the newly deployed 36th Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Ama, conducted a courtesy visit to AIG Miller Dantawaye at the Zone 13 Police Headquarters in Ukpo. The meeting focused on strengthening security strategies, intelligence sharing, and operational coordination between the state command and the zonal headquarters to combat crime in the South-east region.
