New promotional photos unveiled for Japanese film “White Swan and Bat”

Nine new scene photographs from the upcoming Japanese mystery drama “White Swan and Bat” have been released. The images feature co‑stars Hokuto Matsumura and Mio Imada in tense, emotionally charged moments that illustrate key plot points.

The story follows the murder of lawyer Shiroishi Kensuke, the confession of suspect Kuraki Taro, and the ensuing doubts of their children—Kuraki Kazuma (Matsumura) and Shiroishi Mieru (Imada)—as they confront the truth. Supporting characters such as detective Gōdai (Yūsuke Karamoto) and others are also highlighted. The film, based on Keigo Higashino’s novel, is scheduled for nationwide release in Japan on September 4.

The released photos capture confrontations on a subway platform, investigative tension in police offices, and personal moments among victims’ families, underscoring the movie’s focus on “crime and punishment” and the complex human drama behind the investigation.
