New releases in graphic novels: Rita Perdido and Rat City

The graphic novel market sees new developments with the release of 'Rita Perdido, Tome 1: La Clef des Champs' and the second volume of the cyberpunk series 'Rat City'.

'Rita Perdido' explores the origins of its protagonist, a young Chilean girl who flees the Pinochet dictatorship with her father. After escaping through Santiago and arriving in Paris, the story follows Rita as she discovers a shared gift with her father and navigates a difficult life in France. The narrative introduces Rüdiger, a fellow refugee from East Germany, as they face supernatural threats.

'Rat City' Tome 2, published by Éditions Delcourt, continues the cyberpunk saga created by Todd McFarlane and written by Erica Schultz. The sequel follows characters like Quinlan, Peter, Arif, and Viktor as their paths converge. The story shifts focus toward the human consequences of conflict and the motivations of various factions, including the 'Progéniture', as they navigate a world of shifting powers and vengeance.
