New religious-themed films release trailers for Texas and Brazil settings

Two new film projects involving religious themes have released promotional material.

“Down the Arm of God,” an independent Franco-American co-production directed by Peter Brunner, has released its first official trailer. Starring Caleb Landry Jones, the film is set in a small Texas community during a harsh winter. It follows a young pastor who attempts to assist homeless residents, leading to conflicts with church members and exposing social inequalities and religious hypocrisy. The film recently premiered at the Locarno Film Festival.

In Brazil, the Christian film “A Virada - Ignição da Alma” has released a teaser trailer. Produced by 360 WayUp and distributed by Heaven Content, the film is a reimagining of the 2003 Kendrick Brothers film. Set in Rio de Janeiro, the story follows Noah Silva, a car salesman whose life and family unravel, prompting a journey toward integrity and spiritual transformation. The film is scheduled for release in Brazilian cinemas on November 5.
