New residential and care developments launch in Haarlem and Roermond

New residential and care projects have officially commenced or opened in the Netherlands. In Haarlem, construction has begun on Blossom, a building within the new Rootz green residential district. Blossom will provide 146 apartments, including 122 affordable owner-occupied homes, catering to a wide range of housing seekers. The Rootz district is designed to include approximately 680 homes, healthcare facilities, a community pavilion, and a parking hub, all integrated into a park-like landscape.

In Roermond, the Donderhof building has been inaugurated. This facility combines small-scale care with social housing, featuring thirty care studios for individuals with intensive care needs and sixteen social rental apartments. Developed by Wonen Limburg and Heijmans in collaboration with Proteion and the municipality, the building utilizes an innovative CLT timber construction to promote sustainability and a healthy indoor climate.
